Review by hotel critic
Nestled between Via Panzani and the imposing Duomo, my stay offered a true glimpse into Florence's heart. The allure of the ancient Medici building's frescoed living and dining rooms was a captivating ode to tradition. Within, the ambiance seamlessly melded historic opulence with modern comforts, a true testament to Italy's rich heritage. Staff exuded warmth and provided invaluable local insights, enhancing my exploration. However, some areas displayed a contrasting lack of hospitality. Despite occasional disturbances from the nearby main road, the proximity to key attractions proved advantageous, allowing quick access to Florence's treasures. While breakfast satisfied, there's room for enhancement. Yet, the overall experience was enriched by the palazzo's charm and convenient amenities. As a traveler seeking a balance between history and comfort, this establishment, with its nuanced blend of old-world allure and contemporary conveniences, offered a compelling stay.
